Katherine Bathgate, CEO & Co-FOUNDER
Katherine Kellett Bathgate has spent 12 years working at the intersection of public policy and communications and specializes in developing multi-disciplinary campaigns to advance new ideas and policies. She previously led the communications and marketing team at the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools to advance the charter school movement at the state, local, and federal level. From 2011-2013, she was the Deputy Press Secretary for the U.S. House Committee on Education and the Workforce where she launched and oversaw the committee’s digital communications work to help educate the public and members of Congress of the committee’s education, labor, and healthcare priorities. Her work was recognized with a Platinum Mouse Award by the Congressional Management Foundation. Katherine has secured media coverage from hundreds of news outlets across the country ranging from local papers to major cable news channels and contributed to the passage of numerous bills and the state and federal level. Katherine is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College and member of Phi Beta Kappa. She and her husband, Marc are the proud mom of two sons.
Starlee Coleman, CO-FOUNDER
Starlee Coleman has 20 years of experience turning public policy ideas into laws. Through strategic public affairs and PR campaigns, grassroots engagement, and coalition development, Starlee has contributed to the passage of dozens of bills in state legislatures, Congress, and at the ballot box. She has developed public relations and marketing campaigns to pass charter school laws in states without them, strengthen charter school laws in states where they are weak, and tell the positive story of charter schools through the national media. She spent eight years at a policy and public interest law organization where her work earned a Templeton Freedom Award. She has also provided strategic communications advice to multiple policy organizations across the country. Starlee is a seasoned communicator, having done hundreds of media interviews, including appearances on nationally-syndicated radio and TV programs, and a weekly segment on the Phoenix, Ariz. NBC affiliate.

Misty Wickizer-Jernigan is a seasoned public relations and marketing and communications professional with over 20 years of experience working in both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Working with clients across multiple industries, including education, real estate, healthcare, and technology, Misty has developed and executed strategic plans designed to meet each clients’ individual goals.
Keri anderson, digital marketing
Keri Anderson has more than 15 years of experience doing project management and marketing for nonprofits, including eight years as the head of marketing for a mid-size nonprofit think tank. She is a digital media expert, having run numerous successful local, state, and national social media campaigns for a variety of clients and projects with budgets both large and small. She also specializes in online content, email marketing, SEO, and Google AdWords.
